Wedding Plans

Pebble Richwine and Kristopher Johnson are getting married! This blog page will serve as a reference for all the information that our guests and other interested people need to join us in our celebration.

We're keeping the wedding small and simple. We're sorry we can't invite all our friends and relatives to attend.

Date and Time

The ceremony will be held at Saturday, April 5, 2008 at 6:30 PM.

Dinner reception will immediately follow the ceremony.

Pebble and Kris will be leaving at around 9:30 PM. The restaurant closes at 10:00 PM.

The ceremony and reception will be held at The Oar House in Dahlonega, Georgia.

Directions from south of Dahlonega (the drive takes about an hour from the Roswell/Alpharetta area):

• Take GA-400 North. Past exit 17, it becomes an uncontrolled highway with stop lights every few miles, but just stay on it until it ends.
• When you get to the end of GA-400, just keep going straight on GA-115/Long Branch RD
• After 4.8 miles, the first stop light you reach after the end of GA-400 will be the intersection with GA-52. Turn left.
• The Oar House will be on the left after 1.8 miles. It is a green building.

Food

A dinner buffet will be provided. Children may order from the restaurant's Kids Menu. If you have any special dietary needs, please let us know.

Tilapia in a champagne cream sauce

Mixed summer vegetables
Garlic mashed potatoes

Beer and wine will be available.


Music

The band Emerald Rose will be playing during the wedding and reception.

Pebble lured Kris up to Dahlonega by telling him he had to see this great Celtic folk rock band, so these guys hold a special place in our memories.

Photography

We have no plans to hire a professional photographer. Guests are encouraged to bring their cameras, and we would appreciate it if everyone would share their photos with us.


Lodging

We haven't asked about group rates at local hotels yet, but will post info here when we find out anything.

The Holiday Inn provides the prettiest view of the mountains. Otherwise, we don't know anything about these hotels.
